Kickstart your vegetable plants and then give them extra growing power all season long with a blanket of odor-free compost this spring and fall! By working 3" of compost into the top 6-8 inches of your soil in the spring and fall you'll help your soil's structure and add organic matter, nutrients, and beneficial microbial life. Your soil will be healthier so your plants will be healthier. Certain diseases as well as the correction of certain nutritional imbalances may require more than compost, but in general, adding compost will be an excellent step in the right direction toward a successful garden.Mulching with compost or our compost blend can reduce the development of diseases by providing a healthy microbial barrier between your plants and any disease organisms that might be in the ground.
